Animal cruelty is no one's business
Your editorial claims that animal cruelty is not a minor crime. It makes the case that abuse of animals is a serious crime with social consequences.
However, in the modern theory of law and society, a theory which allows both abortion and sodomy on demand, a theory which you endorse, your argument is irrelevant, moot, dull, null and void.
So-called animal cruelty involves consenting adults and does not hurt anyone. Animal cruelty is none of anyone's business, because what happens in the privacy of a bedroom, a back yard or garage is none of anyone's business. Laws against animal cruelty represent nothing more than religious sentiments that irrational persons have imposed on society.
How can editorial writers and Democrats in general seriously argue that an abortionist has the right to cut and dice a baby in the womb (an animal by any biological definition) in the womb, for any reason, and at the same time claim that a dog owner cannot do the same thing? How can such persons be trusted with any influence over the public good?
