Prochno has been asset to Elk Grove
We have not put signs in our yard for either party in the past because we are independent voters. When Christine Prochno decided to run for state representative of the 66th District on the Republican ticket, we immediately volunteered to put her signs on our property. The signs have been in our yard since Sept. 1.
On Oct. 12, upon returning home late, we found all of our Prochno signs gone; this happened to our neighbors as well. We filed a police report and the next day we learned that over 200 of Christine Prochno's signs had disappeared throughout the suburbs.
We have been residents of Elk Grove Village for 35 years and, therefore, have witnessed Christine Prochno in her role as a village trustee. We have come to know her as a fair and honest person which is rare in our current political arena.
She has maintained her integrity despite the attacks on her character sent throughout the 66th district in a barrage of campaign mailers filled with distorted and untrue accusations. We are outraged with the preposterous allegations that she is responsible for an $8 million deficit in the Elk Grove Village budget. Elk Grove Village has never been in the red in the 12 years that Christine Prochno has served as a village trustee.
I hope you will join us in denouncing this distortion of the truth and recognizing Christine's lifelong service to our community.
