One-party rule isn't healthy for country

The debates are over; the media is attacking Sarah Palin unmercifully and ignoring the issues that are important to you and me.

The media is insinuating that it is a battle between Palin and Barack Obama. Why are they so worried?

Again we have heard the word "change." Change to what and why?

If Mr. Obama wins, as it appears to be today, he likely will have a Senate that is 65 or 70 Democrats and about 30 Republicans.

This permits him to run roughshod over the Republicans with any bill they wish to pass without any objections.

We would have one party rule. Is this a healthy environment?

I personally like Mr. Obama, but I am deeply worried about Mr. Joe Biden and Ms. Nancy Pelosi, who would influence him in a way that I think most of us would not like.

Unfortunately, most of us will not realize what we have don until it is too late

May we meet again at the next presidential election when we look at ourselves in disgust as to what we have bequeathed to our children, for those of us who are left?
