Learn about first ladies in St. Charles
Join the Batavia-Geneva-St. Charles branch of the American Association of University Women for a presentation on Presidential First Ladies on Thursday, Nov. 6. The evening begins with networking at 7 p.m. followed by the presentation at 7:30 p.m. at Bethlehem Lutheran Church, 1125 N. Fifth Ave., St. Charles.
The guest speaker Lori Drumtra will take you through the history of the country spotlighting U.S. First Ladies in their many roles. She will share interesting anecdotes about them, their significant contributions to our country, and how many have worked for women's rights and greater freedoms. Drumtra is very knowledgeable on the topic having taught social studies in the St. Charles Unit District 303 for over 20 years. She also has a graduate degree in United States history. As a new first lady will soon be moving into the White House, you will gather much food for thought from this presentation.
