Mount Prospect

• Thieves stole a large Halloween mummy Oct. 19 or 20 out of a yard at a home on the 1700 block of Martin Lane. Value was estimated at $100.

Prospect Heights

• Vandals scratched the rear passenger's-side door and punctured two tires between 10 p.m. Oct. 17 and 6 a.m. Oct. 18 on a 2007 Honda CR-V parked at a home on the 200 block of Rob Roy Lane. During the same time, vandals scratched the rear driver's-side fender on a 2000 Toyota Solara parked on the 0-100 block of Rob Roy Lane and punctured a tire on four cars on the 100 and 200 blocks of Rob Roy Lane.

• Corey Bucar, 20, 325 Oakcreek Drive, Apt. 101, Wheeling, was arrested Oct. 18 and charged with possession of marijuana and fleeing after an officer saw him speeding north on Elmhurst Road at Stonegate Drive around 4:05 p.m. Oct. 11, police said. Bucar parked his car in a driveway on the 0-100 block of Glenbrook Drive, tossed a bag of marijuana under a tree, and ran away, police said. His Rolling Meadows court date was set for Dec. 4.

• Vandals spray painted graffiti between Oct. 13 and 16 on a brick wall at a condominium building on the 800 block of East Old Willow Road.

• Vandals scratched the entire driver's side of a 2001 Jaguar XK8 between 10 p.m. Oct. 19 and 10:20 a.m. Oct. 20 parked at a home on the 600 block of East Camp McDonald Road.
