Carpentersville VFW spaghetti dinner

The Carpentersville Ladies Auxiliary to the Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 5915 is hosting its semiannual Spaghetti Supper dinner from 5 to 8 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 25 at the post home, 301 Lake Marian Road in Carpentersville. This event is open to the public and the price for dinner is $8 per person, half price for children between 5 and 12 years of age, and under 5 is free. The menu will include salad, all-you-can eat spaghetti, meatballs and Italian sausage, garlic bread and dessert.

Come for an evening of fun and fellowship. Karaoke will follow the dinner so stay and make it an evening of fun and fellowship.

The Ladies Auxiliary is a nonprofit organization, dedicated to serving veterans and the community. Last year proceeds from the events and generous donations allowed the auxiliary to donate to help veterans, their families and many community organizations, such as the local police department, fire department, Little League, Boys and Girls Club, homeless of Kane and McHenry counties, and Crisis Center. The group also supports cancer research, flags for our schools, scholarships for junior high and high school students, hospitalized veterans and troops overseas.
