Cancer walk in Crystal Lake Oct. 26

The annual Care 4 Breast Cancer Run/Walk will be held Oct. 26 at Lippold Park, Crystal Lake. This annual event raises money for the Family Health Partnership Clinic's Breast Cancer Fund, which provides early detection and screening as well as educational services to women in McHenry County who have no insurance. The clinic is excited to announce State Senator Pamela Althoff will present the awards at the race.

The event takes place on Oct. 26, beginning at 7:15 a.m. for same day registration and an 8:30 a.m. start time. Online preregistration is easy and secure at Web site hpclinic.org - click on the pink ribbon. Participants can also rep-register at Running Depot in downtown Crystal Lake, Baxter Credit Union in Crystal Lake, or American Community Bank & Trust in Woodstock.

Online Registration closes at midnight on Oct. 23. Registration before Oct. 25 is $25 and $30 thereafter. Registration and packet pick up also is available from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 25, at Running Depot in downtown Crystal Lake. Late registration will be available on race day starting at 7:15 a.m.
