Linens-N-Things starts liquidation
NORTHBROOK - Linens-N-Things closing sales began Friday at the remaining 371 stores, including those in the Chicago suburbs. More than $1 billion of name brand home furnishings will be sold at discounts up to 30 percent. Consumers will be able to take advantage of savings on bath, kitchen and other household items. Also, store fixtures, furniture and equipment will also be available for sale. Area stores include 350 W. Army Trail, Bloomingdale; 301 Rick Lake Square, Wheaton; 17 W. 22nd St., Oakbrook Terrace; 204 S. Route 59, Naperville; 5540 Northwest Highway, Crystal Lake; 301 N. Randall Road, Batavia; 700 N. Milwaukee Ave., Vernon Hills; 6911 Grand Ave., Gurnee; and 2760 Sutton Road, Hoffman Estates. The store closing sale is being conducted by a joint venture group comprised of Hilco Merchant Resources and others.
