St. Charles Kick-A-Thon to benefit charities

The 15th annual Kick-A-Thon will allow the St. Charles East and North high school drill teams to disregard their rivalry at the Crosstown Classic football game in an attempt to "kick" cancer together.

Each girl from the drill team is paired up with a prominent member of the community, such as Mayor DeWitte or a local business owner, to do 100 kicks. Money raised will go towards the American Cancer Society and Living Well Cancer Resource Center in Geneva.

The Kick-A-Thon will occur on Friday, Oct. 17 at North High School, located off Route 31, in between the sophomore and varsity football games at approximately 7:30 p.m.

Donations are appreciated to make this an event to "Help for Today, Hope for Tomorrow." For information, visit www.kick-a-thon.org.
