Halloween event at Spring Valley

Spring Valley Nature Sanctuary will incorporate its bounty of twisting trails to produce a haunted experience unlike any other at its inaugural Haunting in the Valley event being held from 5-8 p.m. Friday, Oct. 24, and Saturday Oct. 25 at the nature center, 1111 E. Schaumburg Road, Schaumburg.

There will be mystery, surprises, wagon rides, a bonfire, Halloween activities and refreshments. Matinee wagon ride for younger children will take place from 5-6 p.m. with nighttime rides beginning at 6:30 p.m.

Children are encouraged to come in costume. Attendees may arrive anytime during the evening for which their ticket is purchase and be able to take the wagon ride on a first-come, first-serve basis. Space is limited for each evening, so preregistration is advised.

Tickets are available for purchase at Spring Valley only. Tickets purchased in advance are $4 per person. Tickets purchased on Oct. 24 or 25 are $5 per person. For information, call (847) 985-2100.
