McCain policies will set America back

After listening to the debates again, I am convinced the foreign policy of McCain would be a disaster. When will Americans wake up?

Everything seems to be focused on winning the war in Iraq and not talking with nations that have different views on issues than we do - until preconditions for the meetings are established.

McCain needs to get into the 21st century and forget about what happened when Eisenhower, Reagan and perhaps even Washington were president.

Here are some things that he needs to understand:

China and other countries will start drilling for oil right in our backyard - Cuba - in the near future. The U.S.A. is being replaced by China and others for developing some of the largest oil reserves in the world in Venezuela.

China and others are making a big push to lock up oil and mineral reserves along the coast of South America.

China does not try to change any of these governments. A carrot they offer them is that they will have their engineers help these countries develop their infrastructures.

China is now operating the Panama Canal. China is also going all around the world locking up uranium reserves while we focus on Iraq.

Obama is correct that we need to speak with all world leaders on a direct basis without preconditions.

We are still waiting for the right preconditions with Cuba while their oil will start flowing elsewhere.
