Guitarist to play at East Dundee library

Guitarist Peter Fletcher will perform a program of classical music at 7 p.m. Monday, Oct. 6 in the lower-level meeting room at the Dundee Township Public Library, 555 Barrington Ave., East Dundee. The well-known performer returns to the library to play a variety of pieces, including many from his recent concert at Carnegie Hall.

Fletcher, a resident of New York, began guitar study at age 9. He gave a concert performing works by Albéniz, Bach, Torroba, Tansman and Guiliani at age 15. He further studied in master classes with Jose Tomas and Pepe Romero.

Fletcher's performance will feature the music of Handel, Bach, Reusner, Weiss, Crespo, Koshkin, Tarrega, and Albéniz.
