Performing his Constitutional duty?
I oppose a Wall Street bailout that rewards the irresponsible and the greedy. But, I don't have a seat at the table where this vital issue will be decided.
Senators McCain and Obama have such seats. I am heartened by the fact that John McCain left the campaign trail to perform his constitutional duty. His action exhibits the personal and political courage that form the core of his character.
In contrast, Barack Obama is content to sit Nero-like and fiddle while others try to put out the economic inferno. Obama's decision to stay uninvolved proves he lacks the character to lead in a crisis.
It's not 3 a.m.; but, Obama's phone is ringing. And, he's choosing not to answer it.
