Financial crisis similar to Iraq
They will not tell us what the world would look like if we do not bail out the banks. Boehner, Dowd and Paulson say the "language" of this failure has its own mystical negative power. They can't trust us with it.
Plus they want Secretary Paulson to have legal immunity for all acts he does to bail out the Banks. Also they want everything Secretary Paulson does to have the effect of law.
We can't question what we he might do. All the "intelligence" tells us that this bail out (war) must be done. All the "intelligence" tells us this bail out(war) must be done now. The need, they say, is "my hair's on fire" immediate.
Doesn't this sound like the same rush to judgment on Iraq? This time, I want the intelligence so that we can make an informed decision. Fool me once, shame on you. Fool me twice, shame on me.
