Obama does not have gravitas

During the Bush versus Gore campaign, the Democrats claimed that George W. Bush had no gravitas. Every time a critic such as Mario Cuomo or Jesse Jackson spoke about George W. Bush, the first words that came out of their mouth was "no gravitas."

Now the question we must ask ourselves is does Obama have gravitas? Does he have substance the depth or weight required of the presidency or does he have a frivolous biography that lacks the gravitas of its subjects?

My contention is that Obama has a flair for making rehearsed speeches but has absolutely no gravitas.

Mr. Obama should stick with what he does best, that is go around making speeches and leave the serious work to those with gravitas.
