Article was biased against Froehlich
Your Sept. 15th article "Bad Blood Already Exists in House Race", is biased and unfair to the point of being an advertisement for Paul Froehlich's opponent. I am surprised and saddened to see the paper take sides like this in a purported news story.
Paul Froehlich has represented the 56th District with honor, honesty and the highest standards. Paul has most notably worked to curb Internet sexual predators who prey on our children, he is working to reduce the property tax burden on the middle class, and he has passed tough laws against drunken drivers. Paul is in the community listening to his constituents and working on their behalf, helping many families obtain property tax relief through the appeals process.
Despite this record of service and success in Springfield, your writer chose to attack Rep. Froehlich, using his opponents words and fabrications as it they were fact. To be fair and balanced he should have at least brought the Federal Tax issues plaguing his opponent (source: Notice of Federal Tax Liens Recorded with Kane County Recorder 6/14/06, 3/20/07, 12/14/07, 4/22/08 / Cook County Circuit Clerk Case #2003-M1-108100, 2005-M1-105798) into the article, so we could see the other side of Paul's opponent.
It is disappointing to see the Daily Herald choose to take the side of a run of the mill "I am out for myself" candidate against the proven record of an honest, hard working candidate, our 56th House District Representative, Paul Froehlich. I intend to support, and I encourage everyone in the district to support, Froehlich in November.
