'Democratic view' is not 'news'
In the midst of news items on sept. 2, the daily herald places an editorial from democrat politician dan hynes. his sophomoric attempt to blame all national challenges as bush bungling is laughable in its simplicity. and your complicity in portraying this as news, instead of opinion, is telling.
His take on the economy, the war on terror, taxes, stem cell research, unemployment rates and health care are a staggeringly incomplete assessment at best. There is a new word making the rounds in PC circles lately: "disingenuous?" Applicable here? Let the reader be the judge. And you, Daily Herald, place this as news?
So what is his point, since he has proposed no solutions, other than voting Democratic, what is he saying? Are we to be anti-market, anti-capitalist? Would he prefer a Socialistic form of government? I am just not sure.
And what is the point of the Herald?, to place this as news under the banner, "A Democrat's View," is transparent.
