Buffalo Grove
• Ronex Kennedy Mutesha, 49, 245 Park Lane, Palatine, was arrested around 1 p.m. Sept. 9 and charged with battery, telephone harassment and obstructing a police officer. Police say he called International Profit Association, 1275 N. Barclay Blvd., five times and made threats to a secretary and an attorney after the company won a lawsuit Mutesha had filed against it. Police said he drove to IPA where officers approached him; they say he spit on officers, swore at them and struggled during the arrest. His court date is Sept. 25.
Wheeling
• Jose A. Montes, 25, 311 Euclid Ave., Highwood, was arrested around 4 a.m. Sept. 7 on the 100 block of West Dundee Road and charged with illegal transportation of open alcohol. His court date is Oct. 6.
• Two cars in a medical center parking lot on the 200 block of East Strong Street were vandalized with glue between 9:30 a.m. and 6:30 p.m. Aug. 29. Someone put a strong glue on all four door handles of a 2004 Honda Accord and on the door frame of a 1998 Volvo. No damage estimate was available.
Des Plaines
• Joseph Manzella, 22, 1220 Moraine, Woodstock, was arrested around 11:45 p.m. Sept. 9 on the 1500 block of Algonquin Road and charged with possession of marijuana and drug paraphernalia. His court date is Oct. 22.
Mount Prospect
• A man stole a garbage disposal and roll of tape from Home Depot, 350 E. Kensington Road around 12:45 p.m. Sept. 7, but left the items in the parking lot when he saw a security agent following him out of the store. The man drove away in a Pontiac G5 coupe. The recovered goods were worth $169.
Prospect Heights
• A gas grill worth about $500 was stolen off a front porch on the 1400 block of Quaker Lane between 8 a.m. and 5:30 p.m. Sept. 4.
• A 2003 Infiniti on the 1400 block of Quaker Lane was broken into between 7 p.m. Sept. 4 and 8:30 a.m. Sept. 5; the driver's-side air bag, radar detector, shifter handle and part of the center console were stolen. A damage and loss estimate was not available.
• Park equipment at School Street Park, 800 N. School St. was vandalized with graffiti between midnight and 10:30 a.m. Sept. 5. A damage estimate was not available.
• A 2001 Mazda on the 900 block of East Old Willow Road was broken into and a radar detector stolen between 3 p.m. Sept. 4 and 9 a.m. Sept. 5. The damage and the theft were estimated at $299.
