Hadassah fashion show: Noon, Monday, Sept. 15, Grove Banquet Hall, 301 N. Weiland Road, Buffalo Grove. The Buffalo Grove Group of Hadassah North Shore will meet, with a fashion show by Coldwater Creek of Deer Park. Fundraising brunch Buffet is $35. Raffles benefit the research at Hadassah Hospital. Portrait painting demonstration: 7 p.m. Monday, Sept. 15 at State bank of the Lakes community room, 50 Commerce Drive, Grayslake. Romel de la Torre will demonstrate oil portrait painting techniques at the Lake County Art League meeting. This free demonstration is open to the public.

Zion Genealogical Society: 7 p.m. Monday, Sept. 15, Beach Park Village Hall, 11270 W. Wadsworth Road, Beach Park. The Zion Genealogical Society will meet for their regular monthly meeting.
