•Noah J. Hobson, 17, 381 Center St., Grayslake, was arrested Aug. 29 at Pine and Slusser streets and charged with possession of marijuana and obstructing a peace officer, police said. His Waukegan court date was set for Sept. 19.

•Vandals smashed lamps and bulbs overnight Sept. 1-2 on the 6700 block of Derby Drive, police said. A damage estimate was not available.

•Thieves stole a cast iron bench Aug. 26, but reported Sept. 2, outside Assisi, 3495 Route 132, police said. Value was estimated at $250.

•A motorist drove away around 1:20 p.m. Aug. 28 without paying for gas at Citgo, 20915 Quentin Road, police said. Value was estimated at $67.

•Vandals tore down a mailbox between midnight and 4:30 a.m. Aug. 29 at a home on the 21700 block of Brentwood Lane, the Lake County sheriff's office said. Damage was estimated at $150.

•Vandals broke the door knob, reported Sept. 1, on the concession stand in Paulus Park, 400 Whitney Road, police said. Damage was estimated at $100.

Lincolnshire

•Vandals scratched the door on a vehicle parked in the 200 block of Marriott Drive, reported at 1:58 p.m. Sept. 1. No damage estimate was available.

•Thieves stole the identity of a resident of Dukes Lane, reported at 4:25 p.m. on Sept. 2, and used the information to make several unauthorized purchases.

•Juan P. Gutierrez, 29, 511 Woodland Drive, Round Lake Beach, was arrested around 11:25 p.m. Aug. 22 and charged with public intoxication after an officer saw him fall off his bicycle on the 400 block of North Cedar Lake Road and determined that he was drunk, police said. His Round Lake Beach court date was set for Sept. 16.

•Vandals hurled rocks that damaged three vehicles, between 11:10 a.m. and 4:20 p.m. Aug. 28, that were parked in the Metra lot, 680 E. Hook Drive, police said. A damage estimate was not available.

Vernon Hills

•Marleny E. Lago, 25, 607 Meadow Lane, Libertyville, was arrested Aug. 30 and charged with illegal transportation of open alcohol and driving under the influence after a traffic stop at Milwaukee Avenue and CDW Way, police said. Her Waukegan court date was set for Sept. 24.

•Roman L. Furman, 22, 133 Maple Ave., Apt. 1, Mundelein, was arrested Aug. 31 at an apartment on the 0-100 block of Parkside Drive and charged with criminal damage to property after he broke items belonging to the resident, police said. His Mundelein court date was set for Oct. 6.
