Arlington Heights

• Christopher A. Krefft, 23, 437 N. Smith St., Palatine, was arrested around 1:15 a.m. Sept. 4 and charged with possession of marijuana and drug paraphernalia after an officer saw him drive into a bank parking lot on the 800 block of West Algonquin Road and drive slowly through the lot; the officer stopped the car and discovered marijuana and a glass drug pipe inside, police said. His Rolling Meadows court date was set for Sept. 26.

Buffalo Grove

• Burglars broke a window on an attached garage, kicked open the access door into the home, put the family dog in a bathroom, and stole jewelry between 9 a.m. and 7 p.m. Sept. 4 out of a home on the 0-100 block of Chevy Chase Drive, police said. A value estimate was not available.

Des Plaines

• Walter Graham Freeman, 29, 429 Sword Way, Bolingbrook, was arrested around 11:45 p.m. Sept. 3 and charged with possession of marijuana and a seat belt violation after an officer saw passenger Freeman without a seat belt in a car traveling on the 9000 block of Potter Road and discovered two marijuana cigars in his bag on the floor of the car, police said. His Skokie court date was set for Oct. 23.

Rolling Meadows

• Someone stole a CB radio and mechanic's tool set from an unlocked 1997 Jeep Grand Cherokee between 7 p.m. Sept. 2 and 5:49 a.m. Sept. 3 from the 2800 block of Northampton Drive. The items had a total value of $220.

Mount Prospect

• Ashley Ann Falco, 18, 34 N. Donald Ave., Arlington Heights, was arrested around 10:35 p.m. Sept. 2 and charged with local ordinance possession of drug paraphernalia after an officer found Falco and two friends in Hill Street Park, 525 Hill St., and discovered a marijuana pipe and grinder in her purse, police said. Her Rolling Meadows court date was set for Oct. 20.
