• Lauren Salmons Asprooth of Bartlett was named to the spring 2008 dean's list at the University of Delaware. She is a senior political science major in the College of Arts and Sciences. Students with a GPA of 3.33 or better are named to the list.

• Margaret S. Egan of Palatine, a graduate of Palatine High School, made the spring 2008 academic dean's list at Azusa Pacific University. Eagan, a global studies major, was honored for a semester GPA of 3.5. or above. She is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Paul Egan.

• Charles C. Menges, son of Matt and Janis Menges of North Barrington was named to the dean's list for both freshman semesters at the University of Alabama and has been inducted into Phi Eta Sigma National Freshman Honor Society and named a National Society of Collegiate Scholar. He is a 2007 graduate of Lake Zurich High School.

• Lauren M. Metsig of Hoffman Estates, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. John G. Metsig, made the spring 2008 academic dean's list at Azusa Pacific University. Metsig was honored for a semester GPA average of 3.5. or above. The William Fremd High School graduate is a marketing major.

• Shalvi Shah of Schaumburg, daughter of Parag and Jayshree Ahah was named to the dean's list for the spring 2008 semester at St. Louis College of Pharmacy. To make the dean's list, student's must earn at least a 3.0 GPA for the semester. Shah is a 2007 graduate of Jame B. Conant High School.

• David Strykowski, son of Jim and Karen Strykowski of Schaumburg, was named to the dean's list at Northern Illinois University for the Spring 2008 semester. To be eligible for this honor, a student in the School of Business must achieve a GPA of 3.75 or higher for the semester. Strykowski is a junior at Northern Illinois University, DeKalb, in the honors accounting program. He was also recently awarded a scholarship from Assurance Agency, Inc. to continue his studies at Northern.
