Harper shares values of average American

As we celebrate the anniversary of Social Security, it's also important that we elect leaders who will fight to preserve it. Sadly, that list does not include Judy Biggert. Biggert was one of two members of the Illinois delegation to support George Bush's plan to privatize Social Security and to threaten this important program.

But unfortunately, it should come as no surprise.

Everyday the Bush/Biggert agenda becomes more and more polarized from what the average American thinks. They have spent this country deep into debt - a decision that will be detrimental to the middle class down the road.

Senior citizens and those with disabilities deserve our help. They have worked their entire lives to help improve industry, the economy and the overall viability of America. And that doesn't seem to be worth anything to Biggert or Bush.

Scott Harper is a reasonable alternative to Biggert and he understands what is in the best interest of the average American. Harper understands how valuable seniors are to this country and what kind of work they have already put in - which means that we need to help them retire.

While Bush and Biggert continue their failing policy's, the people of the 13th Congressional district have a choice when they go to the polls this November-and they should choose Scott Harper.
