Register now for fall classes at ECC
Register now for fall credit classes starting Sept. 15 and Oct. 13 at Elgin Community College. Classes beginning the week of Monday, Sept. 15 are 12 weeks long. Classes starting Monday, Oct. 13 are eight weeks long.
Students attending college for the first time are required to attend new student orientation, where they meet with a counselor to discuss class selection. Orientation sessions fill quickly. A completed application for admission and necessary placement testing are also required before attending orientation. For more information, contact the ECC Admissions Office at (847) 214-7385 or review prospective student information at www.elgin.edu/students. New and continuing ECC students with an ECC student identification number can register online at www.elgin.edu/accessecc. Those who prefer to register in person may do so at the Registration Center at the main campus located on the first floor of the Student Resource Center in room 165, 1700 Spartan Drive, Elgin. The Registration Center is open from 8 a.m. to 7 p.m. Mondays through Thursdays and from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Fridays.
Students may register for any course as long as course prerequisites and/or placement procedures are met and space is available. Students are expected to provide proof of having met course prerequisites, if documentation is not already on file with the ECC records office.
To complete the enrollment process and avoid being dropped from classes, arrangements for payment must be made no later than the next calendar day by 7 p.m. Students with outstanding financial obligations to the college may not be able to register until all bills are settled.
