Dugan prosecution waste of money

Would somebody please tell me how much money this State has spent on lawyers and consultants, thus far, in the Brian Dugan/Jeanine Nicarico case? Dugan is already serving a life sentence for killing another 10 year old girl and an adult woman. He has offered to confess to the Nicarico killing, if the death penalty would be removed as a possible sentence. The State of Illinois spent untold millions of dollars prosecuting three men, ultimately found innocent after 10 years. And now, because the State Attorney's office will not remove the death penalty in this case, lawyers are stuffing their pockets with tax dollars which are spent defending and prosecuting this poor excuse for a man. At this point in time, let us add on to Dugan's sentence, reassuring the public that somewhere down the line some lawyer will not be able to get him out of prison, and spend these tax dollars on something positive like the schools. Dugan can rot in prison and think about what he did to get him into a life sentence behind walls
