Pre-sale tickets are now on sale for the 2008 Batavia House Walk. The walk will be from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday. It features five homes and a tea at the Batavia Depot Museum. Presale tickets are $25 each and may be purchased online at www.downtownbatavia.com by clicking on the House Walk logo or in person at any of the five ticket sale locations: Bee-Attitudes Antiques, 9 S. Batavia Ave.; Sue's Family Hair Co., 139 S. Batavia Ave.; K. Hollis Jewelers, 147 S. Randall Road and Gibby's Wine Den in Geneva, 1772 S. Randall Road as well as the MainStreet office, 2 E. Wilson St., upstairs. Ticket prices go up to $30 day of the event. The House Walk is sponsored by Provena Mercy Medical Center, Harris, N.A. and Gibby's Wine Den and benefits Batavia MainStreet and efforts to revitalize downtown Batavia.

The second annual walk's theme is "A Walk on The Avenue" and features five near west side Batavia housing styles. The homes are close enough together to walk from downtown Batavia parking locations and back to the tea at the Batavia Depot Museum. The five houses include an English Cottage, Tutor, Italianate, Cottage in the Woods and a Contemporary. A special attraction this year is provided by Gibby's Wine Den. Each home is decorated using a theme or holiday, including Halloween, Thanksgiving, Christmas, New Years and an outdoor patio party.

More information about the Batavia House Walk is available at www.bataviahousewalk.com. Ticket holders or those wishing to purchase tickets on the day of the walk should go to the drive through registration on North Water Street between Wilson and Houston streets, just south of the Batavia Depot Museum anytime from 9:30 a.m. until noon to turn in tickets for the official House Walk program, which includes a map and addresses of the homes.
