Democrats' heads in sand on energy

When it comes to speaking out in favor of expanding our energy development options, our Illinois delegation seems to acquiesce to the Democratic position of "do nothing" and it shall pass, meanwhile, taxpayers continue to pay and pay. To say it will take 5-10 years to develop new sources of oil says nothing of how many years before fuel cells and other advanced technology comes to market. Congresswoman Bean needs to speak out for her constituents and press Speaker Pelosi for a vote on expanding our energy options to include offshore drilling and other locations where we have domestic oil. The current stalemate with Democratic leaders defying the will of the people needs to stop.
