Salvation Army offers programs in St. Charles

The Salvation Army, 1710 S. Seventh Ave. in St. Charles, offers a variety of classes and programs. To register or for details, call Cathy Winters, health and education coordinator, at (630) 377-2769, ext. 210.

Computer classes: Classes in Beginner, Advanced Beginner and Windows XP are available to all seniors and anyone who is low-income or unemployed or underemployed. There are a variety of classes that meet for 2 hours a week for 6 weeks starting in September. The classes are free. Registration is required.

Soccer: Boys and girls in the Tri-City area, ages 10-12, are invited to join the free soccer program which will start in September.

Blood Sugar Testing: Visiting Nurse Association of Fox Valley will offer free blood sugar testing at 9 a.m. Sept. 19. Register in advance, though walk-ins are welcome.
