Briefs: Senior Job Club meets today

Schaumburg, Palatine and Wheeling townships will host their monthly Senior Job Club at 1 p.m. today, Aug. 26, at Schaumburg Township, 1 Illinois Blvd. in Hoffman Estates. H&R Block and another company will be in attendance to solicit for 43 information technology positions as well as for seasoned sales professionals.

Alums work on display

Now through Sept. 12, the work of artists Ruthie Hauge and Ryan Schiewe will be on display at the Clair E. Smith Art Gallery at Barrington High School. The two are Barrington alum. Now a photojournalist, Hague studied under award-winning Irish photojournalist Brenda Fitzsimons in Ireland at the Irish Times Newspaper. Schiewe has focused on film animation. He teaches animation courses at DePaul University and works as a freelance video and multimedia producer. There will be a reception from 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday at gallery. The gallery is open Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. and during school performances. Call Julie Salk at (847) 842-3214.
