Family Adventure: Take a Hike with the Rolling Meadows Adventure Pack; Rolling Meadows Library, 3110 Martin Lane, Rolling Meadows. Group and family activity. Bring your Rolling Meadows Library card and a driver's license to the library and ask to check out a Rolling Meadows Adventure Pack. You will receive a backpack, a GPS unit accurate to 15 feet anywhere in the Northern Hemisphere, a pair of binoculars, and a book of clues and coordinates to begin your adventure.

Des Plaines Park District Camps: The Des Plaines Park District offers the following camps for school children for the remainder of the summer: Chicago Fire Soccer Camp; Chicago Bulls Basketball Camp; Great Sports Experience Camp; Eagle's Nest overnight camp; Arndt Park Adventure Camp; Dance and Arts; Sailing; Golf; and Musical Theater Camp. Anti-Bullying workshops: 10:45-11:30 a.m. Aug. 30, Barrington Martial Arts studio, 123 Barrington Commons Plaza, Barrington. Workshop will cover anti-bullying tactics and give participants tools to successfully deal with bullies, how to protect yourself, various self-defense holds, grabs and strikes.
