1 injured in Addison crash

Police and rescue officials were on the scene of an accident with injuries Monday morning at Addison Road and Moreland Avenue in Addison.

Megan Freeman, public information officer for Addison police, said two cars were stopped in the southbound lane of the intersection at a stop light when they were hit from behind by a third car.

Identities of the people involved were not released, but citations are pending.

Freeman said the three-car accident took place at 6:16 a.m. and one person was taken to a hospital. That person has since been released.
