Wheaton residence damaged in fire
A Wheaton residence was damaged Wednesday morning in a fire authorities said likely was triggered accidentally by a contractor.
Firefighters said they responded about 11:30 a.m. to the fire at a four-unit multifamily residence at 1632 Timber Trail.
The blaze started inside the wall of an attached garage, and was under control within 10 minutes, firefighters said.
The unit was unoccupied at the time and no injuries were reported.
Investigators said the fire was accidental and most likely related to heating or air-conditioning work being done a contractor.
A damage amount was unavailable.
