• Courtney Cosgriff, daughter of John and Eileen Cosgriff, was named to the dean's list for the spring 2008 semester at Winona State University, Winona, Minn. Cosgriff, a senior, is pursuing a degree in public relations and communications. She is a 2005 graduate of Schaumburg High School.

• Kyle Irwin, son of John and Jennifer Irwin of Palatine, was named to the dean's list for the spring 2008 semester at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. Kyle is a 2007 graduate of Palatine High School.

• Kari Irwin, daughter of John and Jennifer Irwin of Palatine, was named to the dean's list for the spring 2008 semester at Illinois Wesleyan University, Bloomington. Kari is a 2005 graduate of Palatine High School.

• Taylor Louise Kowalewski, daughter of Tim and Sue Kowalewski of Streamwood, finished her freshman year at Carthage College in Kenosha, Wis. Kowalewski's academic success during the fall 2007 term and the spring 2008 term placed her on the dean's list. In April, she was also inducted into Alpha Lambda Delta, a national academic honor society for freshmen.

• Josh Von Schaumburg, son of Bob and Deb Von Schaumburg of Hoffman Estates, has been named to the dean's list at the University of Notre Dame for the second consecutive semester of his freshman year. He is an economics and finance double major and a 2007 graduate of Schaumburg High School.

• Nicole Schlosser, daughter of Manfred and Linda Schlosser of Palatine, graduated from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill in May, with a bachelor of science degree in business administration and a bachelor of arts degree in journalism/advertising. Schlosser was named to the dean's list all eight semesters at University of North Carolina. Her honors include National Society of Collegiate Scholars and Golden Key International Honour Society. She is a 2004 Palatine High School graduate.

• Alissa Walter, daughter of Gary and Nancy Walter of Palatine, graduated from Seattle Pacific University summa cum laude on June 7. Walter received a bachelor of arts degree in history with a Spanish minor, and awards from the history department and as the top graduating senior from the honors program. She is currently working in Cairo, Egypt, as an intern for the Arab League. Alissa is a 2003 graduate of William Fremd High School.
