Tryon is good for environment
I have noted with interest how the Democrats want to claim ownership on anything good for the environment. But if you look at history, Republicans are the pioneers of land conservation, preservation, and protection.
Today we have a current state representative, Mike Tryon, who is the only elected member of the House of Representatives with a degree in environmental science and a founding member of the Illinois Environmental Laboratory Association.
He owns an environmental consulting and testing laboratory in the county and is a member of the Environmental Caucus, Environmental Health Committee and Environmental Energy Committee.
He has initiated and sponsored successful legislation with the Land Conservancy of McHenry County that allows McHenry County to protect its groundwater recharge areas from development, legislation strengthening the Clean Water Act, and open space preservation legislation.
I think we can call State Representative Mike Tryon the Environmental Legislator. Don't you?
