Michael Franks Foundation golf outing: The Michael Franks Foundation, founded by Michael Morawski and Frank Constant, has announced its second annual golf outing, hosted by the Elgin Country Club. The golf outing will take place on Aug. 25. Check-in is at 11 a.m. at the Elgin Country Club. Lunch will be provided before the game, followed by dinner and an awards presentation.

The Michael Franks Foundation was recently created to supply educational assistance to young adults who would otherwise not receive this type of support. Each year the Michael Franks Foundation holds two fundraising events, a golf outing and a motorcycle event, to fund a scholarship program for local area graduates entering college. The program provides funding for books and other essential needs for high school graduates entering college.

In addition, Michael Franks also has partnered with Fellowship Housing Corporation to transform the lives of homeless or at-risk single mothers and their children. For more than 18 years, Fellowship Housing's mission has been to provide housing and holistic mentoring to guide single mothers from a crisis to long-term stability and independence.
