Elburn chamber has many to thank

The Elburn Chamber of Commerce would like to thank everyone who attended the 2008 Day in the Park at Elburn Lions Park. It was a huge success.

Between the volleyball and bean bags tournaments, the children's area, the food vendors and the games, several hundred people were in the park before the fireworks display.

Thank you to Leslie Flint and the Day in the Park Committee for your countless volunteer hours before and at the event. Thank you to all of the sponsors who donated the funds needed to produce the fireworks show. Thank you to Lions Park for allowing the Elburn chamber to once again host the fireworks and the event. Thank you to evangelical fellowship and Boy Scout Troop 7 for assisting with the cleanup of Lions Park.

The chamber is a volunteer-driven organization committed to serving local businesses and helping to foster a spirit of community in the Elburn area. We provide opportunities for members to promote their businesses, share ideas and to meet other business leaders. For details, visit our Web site at www.Elburn.com.
