Local golfers shoot holes-in-one

Two local golfers shot holes-in-one at Pine Meadow Golf Club in Mundelein on July 24. Jim Nuttall of Ivanhoe got his hole-in-one on the 141-yard 17th hole with an 8-iron, and Lindsey Thomas of Grayslake got hers on the 106-yard eighth hole using a 9-iron.

Register for Wildwood preschool

Wildwood Park District's Schoolhouse Adventure Preschool is currently accepting fall preschool registration for students starting kindergarten in the 2009-10 school year.

The school will offer preschool programs from 9-11:30 a.m. Mondays and Wednesdays for ages 3-4 for $85 per month for Wildwood Park District residents and $95 for nonresidents, and from noon to 2:30 p.m. Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays for 4-year-olds for $123 per month for residents, $133 for nonresidents. The registration deadline is Sept. 1. There is a $35 nonrefundable deposit due with registration. Spaces are limited. For information, call the Wildwood Park District Office, at (847) 223-7275.

Animal Hospital receives accreditation

Care Animal Hospital of Libertyville, at 1101 West Park Ave., has received accreditation following a comprehensive evaluation by the American Animal Hospital Association. The evaluation includes a quality assessment review of the hospital's facility, medical equipment, practice methods and pet health care management.

Only 15 percent of all small animal veterinary practices in the U.S. have achieved accreditation by the AAHA.
