Villa Park bank robbed

A man escaped with an undetermined amount of cash Wednesday morning after robbing Inland Bank in Villa Park, authorities said.

The man entered the bank at 305 W. St. Charles Road about 10 a.m. and handed a teller a note, FBI spokeswoman Cynthia Yates said.

"He implied he had a weapon in the note, but none was seen," she said.

There were no injuries.

The man fled on foot, Yates said.

FBI agents are investigating the incident.
