Hold companies liable for illegals
Pro-illegal activists call out "stop the raids," pro-sovereignty activists call out "punish the law breakers!"
These two rallying cries come together when you consider the common enemy. It's not the legal workers. It's not ICE (Immigration and Customs Enforcement). It's the unscrupulous employers that willfully hire and abuse suspect labor while lining their pockets with profits, and shortchanging the American taxpayer.
The recent raid on an Iowa meat processor along with a seemingly endless list of multinational companies and local businesses hiring illegals are the root perpetrators of the crime.
Typical penalties applied are nothing compared to the human suffering, the cost research and investigation, the detainment and deportation process.
Make the heads of these companies pick up the entire tab for the mess they create. These businesses include many of the name brand products you find on your pantry shelves. They are the fast food companies down the block, the local businesses that take care of your property.
These companies have tools (e-verify) and the responsibility to check citizen status (valid passports and visas). Make them use the tools that can prevent all the hardship, the hidden costs, the division of people.
Stop the real enemy. Do a little homework. Then turn them in.
