Rollover crash on I-90
Rescue and fire crews were on the scene of a rollover accident on the shoulder of Interstate 90 early Wednesday morning, police officials said.
A four-door car swerved off westbound I-90 and onto the shoulder just east of Barrington Road at about 6:40 a.m., said Master Sgt. Lance Powell of the Illinois state police.
The car rolled over and came to a rest on its roof on the shoulder of the expressway.
Rescue crews from Hoffman Estates were called to the scene, but no injuries were reported in the accident, Powell said.
The unnamed driver of the car was wearing a seatbelt at the time of the accident, Powell said.
One lane of the expressway was closed briefly following the accident, he said, but the incident has been cleaned up and the lane was reopened at about 7:20 a.m.
No citations have been issued in the accident, he said.
