• Erin Gallagher, daughter of Mark and Lisa Gallagher of Mundelein, has been named to the dean's list at Northern Michigan University in Marquette, Mich., for the second consecutive semester of her sophomore year. She is a biochemistry major and a 2006 graduate of Vernon Hills High School.

• Emily Rose Esteve of Vernon Hills was named to the dean's list for the spring 2008 semester at Lafayette College in Easton, Pa.

• Steven R. Petti of Mundelein, son of Diane and Steve Petti, graduated with honors from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign in May 2008, with a bachelor's degree in Communications. He was also named to the dean's list, and elected to the Iota Chi Chapter of Lambda Pi Eta, the National Communication Honor Society.

• James R. Bell, son of Chuck and Sue Bell of Libertyville, was named to the dean's list for the spring 2008 semester at DePaul University in Chicago. Bell is a senior majoring in communication.

• Rebecca Rostkowski, daughter of Randy and Paula Rostkowski of Grayslake, was named to the dean's list at Michigan State University for the fall 2007 and spring 2008 semesters.
