Arlington Heights
• Two ceramic lions and two plastic figurines were stolen from outside a home on the 400 block of East Noyes Street July 14-16. The loss was estimated at $380.
• Two women's wallets and a man's wallet were stolen out of three fitting rooms at Marshalls, 601 E. Palatine Road, around 8:35 p.m. July 29. Total value was estimated at $145.
• Someone removed the lock on a vending machine at a medical building on the 1600 block of West Central Road and stole products and cash around 11:30 a.m. July 29. A loss estimate was not available.
• A purse was stolen out of a 1998 Chevrolet Camaro in a restaurant lot on the 800 block of West Dundee Road between 2 and 2:20 p.m. July 29. The thief reached in through an open window; the theft was valued at $72.
Des Plaines
• A blue 2006 Chevrolet Equinox SUV (IL plate number: X35 1198) was stolen from a business lot on the 2700 block of South River Road between 8:30 a.m. and 4 p.m. July 29. A value estimate was not available.
• Sergio Garza, 22, 1250 Campground Road, Lot 101, Des Plaines, was arrested July 29 and charged with retail theft from Kmart, 1155 E. Oakton St. His court date is Sept. 16.
• A men's black and white mountain bike was stolen from outside a store on the 500 block of Metropolitan Way between 10:55 a.m. and 8 p.m. July 29. The bike, worth about $500, had been locked in a rack.
Long Grove
• A laptop computer, wallet and change were stolen out of an unlocked 2005 Dodge Durango on the 2500 block of Shenandoah Lane between 7 p.m. July 25 and 7 a.m. July 26. A value estimate was not available.
• Someone drove over a mailbox on the 1500 block of Sumter Drive overnight July 22-23. Damage was estimated at $150. This is the second time in two weeks a mailbox at the home has been damaged.
Mount Prospect
• Jaime E. Thompson, 32, 507 W. Dempster St., Apt. GE, Mount Prospect, was arrested July 28 and charged with battery after police said she and a man argued about damage to her car in a parking lot on the 500 block of West Dempster Street. Her court date is Aug. 22.
• Pavement at two homes on the 600 block of Pickwick Court was vandalized with spray paint July 28 or 29. Total damage was estimated at $70.
• Four tires were slashed on a 1993 Oldsmobile on the 1700 block of Chariot Court between 8:30 p.m. July 27 and 2:20 p.m. July 28. Damage was estimated at $300.
Prospect Heights
• A man exposed himself outside an apartment building on the 700 block of Piper Lane around 7:30 p.m. July 26. He left before officers arrived.
• A 2008 Chevrolet Express van belonging to Bissell of Des Plaines and parked in a hotel lot on the 2800 block of North Milwaukee Avenue was broken into July 27 and several thousand dollars in tools stolen. The theft and the damage to the van was estimated at $3,550.
• A 2004 Ford Expedition on the 800 block of Winesap Court was broken into overnight July 28-29 and a speaker box and amplifier stolen. A value estimate was not available.
• An apartment building on the 700 block of Piper Lane was vandalized by spray paint on an unknown date but reported July 30. A damage estimate was not available.
• Someone hurled two bricks through a front window on the 400 block of Crest Hill Drive around 3:05 a.m. July 30. The bricks broke a large stone vase and cut a leather couch cushion in the home, but a damage estimate was not available.
Wheeling
• A 2007 Infiniti G35 on the 400 block of Dakota Trail was broken into between 8 p.m. July 28 and 9 a.m. July 29 and a radar detector stolen. The damage and theft was worth about $200.
• A 2004 Nissan 350Z on the 400 block of Plum Creek Drive was broken into between 10 p.m. July 27 and 5 p.m. July 29 and a radar detector stolen. The damage and theft was estimated at $550.
