Cops search home of slain Addison girl's father
Chicago police investigating the stabbing death of 9-year-old Mya Lyons say they searched her father's South Side home over the weekend.
The search early Sunday came just hours after the father, Richard Lyons, hired an attorney.
Later Sunday, Lyons said detectives had made what he called "accusatory and threatening" comments to him, but police spokeswoman Monique Bond said the officers had made no threats.
Lyons has not been charged with anything, and his attorney, Alan Blumenthal, said the father is in no way responsible for his daughter's death.
Mya was found dead by her father in an alley near his home July 14. Authorities said she had been stabbed repeatedly.
