One of McHenry County's 10 most wanted nabbed in Louisiana

The McHenry County sheriff's office recently established a Web page listing its top 10 most wanted fugitives.

Robert T. Cechini, formerly of Crystal Lake, became the first fugitive in the top 10 to be apprehended when he was arrested July 17 in Jefferson, La., by the Jefferson Parish sheriff's office.

An anonymous caller tipped off police.

Authorities say Cechini was wanted in McHenry County for offenses including unlawful restraint, theft, aggravated domestic battery, felony possession, use of a weapon firearm and harassment by telephone.

He's awaiting extradition back to Illinois. Fugitives are chosen based on the severity of their crimes.
