Barack Obama and Brandenburg Gate

So columnist Charles Krauthammer (June 20) is whimpering about Barack Obama wanting to speak in front of the Brandenburg Gate, wondering what makes him so special.

Well, for one thing, Obama is likely to be the next president of the United States, and that's something that might impress the average German.
