Motorcycle crash near Wauconda snarls traffic

Wauconda fire officials responded to an accident on Route 176 at Forest Garden Road, about one half mile west of Route 12.

The unnamed motorcyclist was transported to Advocate Good Shepherd Hospital in Lake Barrington with non-life threatening injuries, Wauconda fire officials said.

Officials said the accident call was received at 6:34 a.m., and traffic in the area was snarled for about 30 minutes while the scene was cleared.

Officials were unsure if the driver was wearing a helmet, and details of the accident were unclear.
