Teen breakfast celebrates release of "Breaking Dawn"
The Poplar Creek Library Teen department is sponsoring a breakfast at 8:15 a.m. Aug. 2 at the library's temporary location at 490 S. Bartlett Road in the Oak Forest Shopping Center in Streamwood for teens going into grades 7 through 12.
The breakfast coincides with the release of Stephenie Meyer's book, "Breaking Dawn," the fourth book in the best-selling Twilight Series.
Attendees will have their names put in a drawing for an opportunity to be first to check out one of the library's 10 copies first.
There will also be a costume contest at which participants can choose from either the best costume category or Bella and Edward look-alike category. Winners will receive their own copy of the book.
There will also be gift certificates awarded during the breakfast. Waffles with fruit and ice cream will be served. There is a limit of 25 participants. Registration by July 31 is required. Call (630) 483-4941 or stop at the library's teen desk.
