Don't throw tax money at Randhurst
So now we can see a solution to the years-old problem that is Randhurst Mall - another redevelopment.
And it will only cost the village a measly $25 million dollars - WOW what a bargain - and according to Casto Lifestyle properties we can pay that off through sales tax revenue (read between the lines, TAX INCREASE).
Why should any of our current tax revenues be used to finance a project of this size, let alone a tax increase which I am sure will follow in a few short years?
This is a private corporation that stands to realize a good if not huge profit from this deal. Why is it that they can secure financing for $150 million and not the balance needed ($25 million)? Let them go back to the bank for their money and keep their hands out of my pocket.
