Campbell, Blackhawks aiming for the Cup, not just the playoffs

Blackhawks defenseman Brian Campbell set the bar high for his new team Tuesday at his introductory news conference at the United Center.

"With this hockey team there are expectations within the locker room that are going to be there from the get-go," Campbell said. "And it's not just about making the playoffs. It's about getting the whole prize."

Hawks coach Denis Savard echoed Campbell's comments about shooting for the Stanley Cup.

"We're here to win and we're looking above playoffs," Savard said.

The 29-year-old Campbell signed an eight-year, $56.8 million contract with the Hawks last week as the top free agent defenseman on the market.
