We need more road money from Springfield
The roads in Schaumburg and the surrounding communities are in serious need of repair. The constant potholes a driver must avoid creates not only an annoyance but also a danger.
I cannot understand how Illinois, one of the most wealthy states in the nation, could have roads which are poorly maintained.
The only reason for the roads to be badly neglected can only be due to one reason - lack of funding from Springfield. The person responsible to bring our own tax dollars from Springfield and repair our roads is our state representative.
Sadly, our current state representative is not performing his responsibility of bringing back to our home district tax dollars needed to repair the roads. Since we are paying record gas taxes each time we fill our gas tanks, one would expect the state representative would bring back a record amount of our tax dollars to repair our roads.
He has not done this, as evidenced by the dismal condition of our roads. We need a state representative who will fight to bring our tax dollars back home, which will improve the standard of living for our communities.
I will be volunteering and voting for Anita Forte-Scott, candidate for state representative, 56th district.
